Jerzy Budnik

Jerzy Feliks Budnik (* May 30, 1951 in Wejherowo ) is a Polish politician, Platforma Obywatelska ( Civic Platform, PO).

Life

Budnik visited the Johann III. Sobieski High School in Wejherowo and then studied law and administration ( Prawa Administracji i ) at the University of Gdansk. He graduated in 1975 from a master's degree in administration. Early 1980s was Budnik active in Solidarność. From 1983 to 1989 he was employed in Wejherowo in the Province Directorate for investment. On June 6, 1990, it was elected mayor of Wejherowo and remained there until 1998. 1997 he received a seat in the Polish Sejm. After the end of the legislature, he was from 1998 to 2001 in the Parliament of the Province of Pomerania. He was again in 2001, now elected as a member of Platforma Obywatelska in the Sejm. From January 2001, Jerzy Budnik was Vice President of Platforma Obywatelska for the Pomeranian province. In the parliamentary elections in 2005, he went out again into the Sejm.

In the early parliamentary elections in 2007, he ran in the election district 26 Gdynia and was able to move with 12,893 votes in the Sejm. Since 2007 he is Chairman of the Commission for rules and matters of Deputies ( Komisja Regulaminowa i Spraw Poselskich ). Furthermore, he is since 2007 a ​​member of the Commission for National Defense ( Komisja Obrony Narodowej ) and the Commission to discuss any changes on the Polish Constitution since 2008 Member ( Komisja Nadzwyczajna do rozpatrzenia poselskich Projektów of Laws o zmianie Konstytucji Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej ( RCC ) ).

Jerzy Budnik is married and has three children.
