Jerzy Makula

Jerzy macula ( * 1952 in Ruda Śląska ) is a Polish sailing stunt pilot.

1985, 1987, 1989, 1991, 1993, 1999 and 2011, he won the glider aerobatic world championships in 1995, 2001, 2003 and 2005, he became vice world champion. In the sailing world aerobatic championship 2007, he was third, in 1997 he finished fifth. He was also 1998 and 2004 European champion glider aerobatics. 1996, 2000 and 2006, he became vice European champion.

For his athletic achievements and his work to the popularization of aviation, he received the Medal century FAI.

He is a member of the Aero Club of Rybnik. He is currently flying on competitions mostly solo Fox, a single-seat version of the MDM -1 Fox. Professionally, he flies as Captain Boeing 767 at the LOT.
