Jessalyn Gilsig

Jessalyn Gilsig Sarah ( born November 30, 1971 in Montreal, Quebec ) is a Canadian actress.

Life and career

From 1989 to 1993 Jessalyn Gilsig studied English at McGill University. Her training as an actress, she studied at the American Repertory Theatre 's Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard University.

Her acting career began with small roles in Gilsig various film productions such as, among others, Jacknife (1989). In the 1990s, she had small appearances in several television series such as Seven Days - Seven Days or viper. Her breakthrough then experienced a major role on the series Boston Public, where she took on the role of the teacher Lauren Davis 2000-2002. She took a second known role in the series Nip / Tuck - Beauty has its price, in which they represented the character of Gina Russo. She took a further role in the series Heroes. Here she played the mother of Claire Bennet. In 2008 she was in Prom Night - the remake of the horror film from the year 1980 - to see at the side of Brittany Snow. She also appeared in the same year in the movie XIII - The Conspiracy, based on the comic book series. 2009 to 2011, she starred in the comedy musical series Glee as Terri Schuster.

Since 2005 Gilsig is married to producer Bobby Salomon, together they have a child.
