Jesús Hernández (cyclist)

Jesús Hernández Blazquez (born 28 September 1981) is a Spanish cyclist. He is 1.70 meters tall, his racing weight is 58 kilograms. Hernández is a strong climber and is, as such, especially as a helper for his team captains in ROUTES used.

Jesús Hernández began his career in 2004 at the Spanish cycling team Liberty Seguros - Würth. In 2005, the team went into the UCI ProTour. In the Tour of Poland in September he took third place in the mountains classification. Since 2006, Hernández travels Continental team Relax- Gam for the Professional. In his first season there, he was fifth in the Prueba Villafranca de Ordizia. From 2009 he rode for the Astana team, reaching at the Vuelta a España in 2009 the nineteenth overall. 2011, Hernández wrote a contract with Team Saxo Bank of Denmark.

His 2012 season began Hernández at the Tour de San Luis in Argentina in late January, where he graduated as 35th. He served here, especially in the mountains helper services for Team Leader Alberto Contador. At the third stage, the first mountain finish, he showed up in an early breakaway, which was, however, caught up.
