Jesús Unanua

Jesús Unanua Becerril ( born June 23, 1969 in Pamplona, ​​Navarre ) is a former Spanish football goalkeeper.

Biography

Unanua began his career in the nearby Osasuna. For the CA Osasuna he played in his youth and came in the season 1989-1990 to his first professional assignments in the Primera División. However, despite 13 operations in his first season in the pros, he failed to become the number 1. Therefore, he was loaned to Albacete Balompié for a season, but remained only two keeper there. So after just one year, he returned to Osasuna and stayed behind youngster Javier López Vallejo further goalkeeper.

Then he worked for three years for CD Leganés in the Segunda División and played for the club a total of 76 games. In 1999, he signed then simultaneously with his old companions Vallejo at Villarreal.
