Jewel Staite
Jewel Belair Staite ( born June 2, 1982 in White Rock, British Columbia) is a Canadian actress. Notoriety she became known for her roles as Kaylee Frye in the television series Firefly - The departure of Serenity and the movie based on Serenity - Escape to new worlds ( 2005) as well as Dr. Jennifer Keller on Stargate Atlantis.
Life and career
By the fourth year of life lived Staite on Maui, where she had her first stage performances already two years old. After moving to Vancouver she got the offer to be photographed and filmed for the children's fashion from Sears. She agreed after initial rejection eventually one because they wanted to have the clothes. For years, she was active in the " Vancouver Youth Theatre " and practiced there for several days a week, which she finally gave various model orders and led to their first appearances in commercials and eventually to major television roles.
On April 25, 2003 married Staite her boyfriend Matt Anderson under the presence of her fellow Firefly Morena Baccarin and Nathan Fillion on Maui. On 13 December 2011 she gave in her blog her impending divorce known. It actively supports various AIDS charities.
