Jez Butterworth

Jeremy Butterworth (born 1969 in London, England ) is a British playwright, film director, screenwriter and actor.

Life

Jeremy Butterworth attended Verulam School in St Albans and studied at St John's College, Cambridge. His brother Steve Butterworth is a film producer and his brother Tom Butterworth also an author. He made his debut with staged by David Giles Drama Night of the Golden Brain in 1993 as a writer and with his play I Believe In Love 1992 as a playwright. 1995 was premiered at the Royal Court Theatre in London with the play Mojo his biggest success. The critical success meant that he was not only won several awards, but in 1997 made ​​his debut as a film director for his film adaptation.
