Jidokwan

Jidokwan is the name of a leading style in the Korean Taekwondo. The word is not to translate in one, but must be split into its three syllables. Ji comes from the Sino- Korean word tribe and means " wisdom ". Do comes from the Japanese- Korean word tribe and means "way ", in this case " spiritual path " or " way of the spirit ." Kwan is the Korean word for school. Jidokwan can be translated in this context with "School of the path of wisdom " or " school of the wise path ."
