JILA

The Joint Institute for Laboratory Astrophysics, usually just called JILA, is a physical Research Institute of the University of Colorado at Boulder, on whose campus it is, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology ( NIST).

At JILA Atomic physics, molecular physics, laser physics, astrophysics, optics, nanoscience, biophysics, chemical physics and high precision measurements are operated. Among the physicists at JILA include Nobel laureates John Lewis Hall and Eric Cornell and the physicist Deborah Jin, Margaret Murnane, Henry Kapteyn, Peter Zoller.
