Jim Bellamy

James Francis "Jim" Bellamy ( born September 11, 1881 in Bethnal Green, London, † June 1969 in Chadwell Heath, Greater London ) was an English football player and coach.

With FC Barcelona he won in 1929 as the first coach discharged Spanish championship.

Career

As a player, he was active for several Football League clubs as a winger, among other things, Woolwich Arsenal ( 1903-1907 ), for Burnley ( 1912-1913 ) and Fulham (1914 ).

After he later as a coach first clubs in Germany and Italy, Brescia Calcio coaching, he came in March 1929 FC Barcelona. There, a new club management had just ousted the incumbent coach Romà Forns, Bellamy took over his position and Forns became his assistant coach. The FC Barcelona, ​​he led in 1929 to win the first Spanish championship. He also won the Catalan Championship in 1930 and 1931.
