Jim Skinner

Jim Skinner ( born 1944 ) is a former head of the Restaurant Group McDonald's.

Life

Skinner started at McDonald's in 1971 as a trainee in management education. His career at McDonald's has been progressing very quickly. He has held numerous leadership positions.

From 1995 to 1997 he was Executive Vice President and International Relationship Partner for Central Europe, Middle East, Africa and India. From 1997 to 2001, Skinner President of McDonald's in Europe as a whole. Subsequently, he was Vice Chairman of McDonald 's Corporation. In this role, he managed the operations of the divisions Asia, Middle East, and Africa ( AMEA ) and Latin America with a total of approximately 12,500 retail outlets. In addition, Skinner held the staff responsibility for all areas. It was not until the beginning of 2004 he had also taken over the management of the 4,000 Japanese McDonalds stores.

Skinner was the successor on 22 November 2004 resigned for health reasons ( and now deceased ) Charlie Bell. Until June 2012, Skinner led the company; he was succeeded at the helm of manager Don Thompson.
