Jim Van Bebber

Jim Van Bebber (* November 24, 1964 in Greenville, Ohio) is an American filmmaker.

Life

Jim Van Bebber grew up in Ohio and began to turn as a teenager movies. He studied at the Wright State University in Dayton, but left the university after a year without a degree. From his student loan, he financed his first feature film: the transition Drama Deadbeat at Dawn. It was followed by the short film Roadkill: The Last Days of John Martin, who despite his short maturity is a classic of splatter film after film critic Chas Balun. In an article published in the German-speaking area in the book Splatterpunk 2, 1990, he celebrated Van Bebber as the hope of the modern splatter film.

However, the work on the other films should take a long time to complete. The 1988 already announced The Manson Family was not published until 2003. The film is, as the title suggests, by Charles Manson and his "Family". Van Bebber was particularly come through the TV movie Helter Skelter to filmmaking.

In the meantime, Van Bebber shot, among other things, music video for Pantera, Superjoint Ritual, Skinny Puppy and Necrophagia. As an actor, he worked alongside his own productions in The Mutilation Man ( 1998) and Zombie Cult Massacre (1998).
