Jimi Mistry

Jimi Mistry (born 1973 in Scarborough, England ) is a British actor.

Life and achievements

The father of Jimi Mistry is Indian, his mother is from Ireland. Mistry studied at the Birmingham School of Speech & Drama. He made his debut with a small role ( as a second sailor ) in Drama Hamlet ( 1996) directed by and starring Kenneth Branagh. In 1999, he appeared in the play East is East as well as in the eponymous film comedy, which received four BAFTA nominations and numerous other prices on. In the years 1999 to 2000 he played the role of Dr. Fred Fonseca in the television series EastEnders.

In the film drama My Kingdom (2001) Mistry appeared at the side of Richard Harris. In the comedy The Guru (2002) starring Heather Graham and Marisa Tomei, he took over the lead role in the comedy The Truth About Love (2004 ), he starred opposite Jennifer Love Hewitt one of the major roles. In the comedy Touch of Pink (2004) he played the lead role in another role Kyle MacLachlan occurred.

Mistry is married since 2001 and has one daughter.
