Jimmy Hughes ( born 1938 in Florence ) is an American rhythm and blues singers of the 1960s.
Life
Jimmy Hughes, a cousin of Percy Sledge, already singing at the age of eight years as the lead singer in the local church choir. He later sang in several gospel groups and finally awakened in 1963 the attention of a record company. Already with his second single, it reached # 17 on the U.S. charts.
