Jimsar County

The circle Jimsar (吉木萨尔 县; pinyin: Jímùsà'ěr Xiàn; Uyghur: جىمىسار ناھىيىسى / Cimisar Nahiyisi ) is a circle of Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture in the central northern part of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in the People's Republic of China. It has an area of 8169.86 km ² and has 130,000 inhabitants. Its main town is the large village Jimsar (吉木萨尔 镇).

The site of the ancient ruined city Beiting or Beshbaliq ( Beiting Yizhi Gucheng ) from the time of the Han Dynasty is since 1988 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 3-217 ).
