Jin Yong
Louis Cha (Chinese查良镛; born February 6, 1924), pen name Jin Yong (金庸) is a Chinese Wuxia Novelist.
Between 1955 and 1972 he wrote 14 novels and one short story. More than 100 million copies of his works have been sold worldwide, translated into many languages such as Korean, English, Japanese, French, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Burmese and Thai. They have also been adapted as films, TV series, comic books and computer games.
He was born the second of seven children in Haining and studied in Chongqing and at the University of Soochow. In 1947 he worked at the newspaper Ta Kung Pao as a journalist. A year later he moved to Hong Kong. In the newspaper Hsin Wan Pao, he met Chen Wentong know, a wuxia novelist Liang Yusheng with the pseudonym. 1955 Cha wrote his first novel, Shuu jiàn én Chou lù. In 1959, Shen Pao Cha with Sing (沉 宝 新) Ming Pao newspaper.
