Jinchang

Province

Jinchang (金昌 市) is a prefecture-level city in northwestern China's Gansu province at the foot of the Qilian Shan. Your administration area forms the eastern end of the Hexi Corridor. It has an area of ​​8896 km ² and around 450,000 inhabitants ( end of 2004 ), mainly Han Chinese.

History

The area has been inhabited for about four thousand years and was of the Western Han Dynasty in the period from 206 BC. to 24 AD. administratively divided.

Solar Project

In May 2012, the construction of a solar park with a 1 GW power was announced in the west of the city and an associated production with 300 MW capacity of the company from Shanghai Alex Solar.
