Jingpo Lake

The Jingpo Hu or Jingpo Lake (镜泊湖, Jingpo Hu, English Lake Jingpo, Birten Lake, Ching -po Hu, Pilteng Lake, Pirton Lake ) is a lake near the city of Mudanjiang Ning'an in the northeastern Chinese province Heilongjiang. Its southern end is about 10 kilometers from the border with the province of Jilin, from which the Mudan Jiang flow to the lake.

It was created as a result of a volcanic eruption about 10,000 years ago, as a tributary of the Mudan Jiang has been blocked and so was the lake. Its area is 90 square kilometers, it is located 353 meters above the sea level. The average depth is 40 meters.

He was included by UNESCO in the list of Geoparks.
