Jiří Plíšek

Jiří Plíšek ( born August 21, 1972 in Aš ) is a former Czech football player and current football coach.

Playing career

As a player Plíšek was active only in unterklassigen clubs, mostly in or near Prague. His last station from 1994 to 1996, the Upper Franconian VfB Helmbrechts.

Coaching career

Even with 19 years Plíšek began to work as a coach, one after the other, he supervised the junior TJ Ruzyně, Viktoria Zizkov, Prague Motorlet and FK Mladá Boleslav. In Mladá Boleslav, he was from 1999 to 2001 co- coach. Then he was again active in the youth field, this time at Slavia Prague. During this time he was also coach of the Czech national teams U18, U19 and U16.

In the summer of 2004, he became coach of the Bosnian club FK tip Željezničar Sarajevo, but released again in November. In Sarajevo, he discovered, among other things Edin Džeko and brought him to the Czech Republic. In the season 2005/ 06 Plíšek coached the second division FK Ústí nad Labem, before he got his first opportunity as a head coach at a first division club in July 2006. After just five points from 13 games, he resigned in early November 2006 by his office. A short time later, he was primarily responsible for scouting the area with Sparta Prague.

In July 2008 Plíšek joined as coach at FK Teplice and replaced so that Petr Rada, who moved to the Czech national team.
