Jis Desh Me Ganga Behti Hai (also Jis Desh Men Ganga Behti Hai ) (Hindi: जिस देश में गंगा बहती है, Urdu: جس دیش میں گنگا بہتی ہے, translation: The country where the Ganges flows ) is a successful Bollywood film with Raj Kapoor as a simpleton from the country with a big heart.

Action

The simpleton Raju lives very modestly in the country. As a musician, he enjoys people and followed the teachings of the Hindu God Shiva. One night he saves the crooks Sardar life. As thanks Raju Sardar invites her to his home.

There he gets to know Sardars flirtatious daughter Kammo, in which he also soon in love. But that he forfeited with Raka, who is one of Sardars criminal gang and wants to claim Kammo for themselves.

In Sardars village is the power of money over everything. The theory of the villagers, the rich to steal the money and distribute it among the poor. Raju himself does not believe. He believes that this will only bring disaster to the whole village and wants to disabuse. Gradually he wins the villagers themselves - especially Kammo and Mirabai, who cares about the future of her son.

After the villagers voluntarily to the police, the police commissioner can exercise grace and mitigates the punishment, so that the village escapes the death penalty.
