JKOY Class Sm5

Sm5 series is that of the Finnish Transport Safety Agency ( Liikenteen turvallisuusvirasto ) fixed term for a four-part series EMUs for local and regional traffic. They are the property of the company Pääkaupunkiseudun Junakalusto ( JKOY ) and are used in the Helsinki commuter train. The trains were developed by Stadler Rail and belong to Flirt family. History

Purchaser and owner of the trains is the company founded in 2004 Pääkaupunkiseudun Junakalusto ( JKOY ), a joint venture between the cities of Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Kauniainen and the Finnish State Railways (VR cities share 65 %, PR 35%). Technical Features
