Jo-Ann Strauss

Jo -Ann Strauss ( born February 3, 1981 in Cape Town ) is a South African model and presenter. She won in 2000, the Miss South Africa and represented South Africa at the Miss World contest in Puerto Rico.

Life

Strauss completed a law degree at the University of Stellenbosch. Thereafter, she hosted the TV show Pasella and the lifestyle magazine Top Billing for which she interviewed, among others, Charlize Theron, Antonio Banderas and George Clooney. She was cover girl on many South African magazines.

In ZDF, she reported to the World Cup 2010 South Africa, after she hosted a live concert live from Johannesburg along with Thomas Gottschalk before the opening game of the 2010 World Cup on June 10. Strauss is in a relationship with a Munich and speaks fluent German. She herself has Alsatian ancestors.

Prizes and awards

• Strauss won the South African " Duku Duku - " Award for most stylish TV presenter.
• In 2000 she was chosen as the Miss South Africa.
