Jo Brauner

Joachim " Jo " Brown ( born November 29, 1937 in Nimptsch, Lower Silesia ) is a former newscaster and ARD news. Life

During World War II Jo Brauner was evacuated in January 1945 with his mother and three siblings from Wroclaw to Saalfeld / Saale, Thuringia. In 1958 he took the state exam as a primary school teacher of German in the GDR at the Pedagogical Institute in Leipzig. In August of the same year he fled from East Germany via West Berlin in the Federal Republic of Germany. In the following years he worked in Hamburg, among others, in a graphic arts institution, and later as a clerk in an insurance company.

In 1964, Jo Brauner applied at NDR.
