Joachim Meischner

Joachim Meischner ( born August 13, 1946 in Zwoenitz ) is a former German biathlete who competed for East Germany.

Joachim Meischner competed for the SG Dynamo Cínovec. His greatest success was, together with Horst Koschka, Hansjörg Knauthe and Dieter Speer winning the bronze medal with the East German Season 4 x 7.5 km at the 1972 Olympics in Sapporo. At GDR championships he won in 1971 behind his team mate Hans Jörg Knauthe and Horst Koschka the bronze medal in the individual over 20 kilometers. With the season of Dynamo Cínovec he won in 1969 and 1970, together with Knauthe, Koschka and Manfred Beer the title in 1971 with Günter Bartnik instead Beers. He was with the second Dynamo squadron third in the GDR championships in 1968.
