Joakim Haeggman

Joakim Haeggman ( born August 28, 1969 in Kalmar, Sweden) is a Swedish professional golfer on the European Tour.

Career

He became a professional golfer in 1989 and qualified in the autumn on the Tour School for the European Tour. Haeggman posted three wins so far on this great European tournament series and in 1993, 1997 and 2004 among the top 20 on the money list.

He was the first Swede, who was allowed to play in the Ryder Cup for Europe, and represented his native country twice in the Dunhill Cup and four times in the World Cup.

Haeggman has a high recognition value in tournaments: He lies flat on his stomach to read the line of putt.

His passion, ice hockey, cost him two breaks in his career: 1994 a severe shoulder dislocation and broken ribs with nearly two -year hiatus, and in December 2002, a broken ankle, the Haeggman had missed half a season.
