Joakim Noah

Joakim Simon Noah (born 25 February 1985 in New York City ) is a professional basketball player who has the American, French and Swedish citizenship.

Career

Noah played at the University of Florida, with whom he won the NCAA championship in 2006 and was awarded " Most Outstanding Player" of the Final Four. In 2007 he won again with the Florida Gators. Noah enlisted in the NBA Draft in 2007 and was drafted in the ninth position of the Chicago Bulls, where he has since played with the number 13. His first two years Noah was a key player off the bench in the third year he achieved his breakthrough as he hung up 10.7 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. Noah stand next to its good rebound work of his defense and his pass quality as a center player. In 2011 he was appointed to the second NBA All-Defensive Team. 2013 followed his first NBA All-Star nomination. He was also elected team in the NBA All-Defensive First at the end of the season.

Noah is the eldest son of former French tennis player Yannick Noah. His mother Cécilia Rodhe was Miss Sweden 1978.

National team

Since the Basketball Championship 2011, he plays in the French national team.
