Joan Cañellas Reixach shortly Joan Cañellas ( born September 30, 1986 in Santa Maria de Palautordera ) is a Spanish handball player. The 1.98 meter tall and 95 kilogram back player stands since 2013 HSV Hamburg under contract.

Cañellas played 2004-2005 at BM Granollers, from 2005 to 2008 for FC Barcelona and from 2008 to 2009 again at BM Granollers. Then he ran for BM Ciudad Real and Atlético Madrid. In June 2013 his move to German Bundesliga side HSV Hamburg was announced for 2014/15 season. Since Atlético Madrid had to withdraw shortly afterwards due to financial problems from the game to Cañellas closed in July 2013 HSV Hamburg.

With these clubs he played in the EHF Cup (2004/2005) and in the EHF Champions League (since 2005/ 06).

With the Spanish national team was Joan Cañellas Reixach third at the 2011 World Cup and 2013 World Champion. At the European Championships in 2014 he led his team as the top scorer of the tournament with 50 hits for bronze. Previously, he played 100 matches in which he threw 264 goals.
