Joan Verdú

Joan Verdú Fernández ( born May 5, 1983 in Barcelona ) is a Spanish football player.

Career

Verdú comes from the youth of FC Barcelona. About the second team of the Catalans, he found his way into professional football. His debut in the first team, he was in a Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk in 2005. However, the offensive player moved already to the next season to Deportivo La Coruña where he could develop into a regular player.

His first goal for Depor scored Verdú on February 11, 2007, in the 2-0 away win against Villarreal. On 4 June 2009 the Catalan club Espanyol announced that Verdú was committed for the next four years.
