Joanna Going

Joanna Going ( born July 22, 1963 in Washington, DC ) is an American actress.

Life and achievements

Going grew up in Newport, the oldest of six children of a family. She studied for two years at the Boston Emerson College, then studied at New York's American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Going debuted in 1986 in the television series Search for Tomorrow, in the years 1987 to 1989, she starred in the television series Another World. For her role in the pilot episodes of the TV series Dark Shadows ( 1991) she was nominated in 1992 for the Soap Opera Digest Award. In the comedy Damn, I want you (1997) she starred alongside Brendan Fraser one of the main roles. In the thriller Phantoms (1998) she played the role of the scientist Jennifer pailey that visiting a place with her underage sister Lisa (Rose McGowan ), whose inhabitants were murdered by a mysterious creature. In the television thriller My Silent Partner ( 2006) she played the lead role of a police officer who helps a gangster boss in divorce proceedings against her husband.

Going is married since 2004 to actor Dylan Walsh, with whom she has a daughter born in 2003.
