Joanna Wiśniewska

Joanna Wiśniewska ( born May 24, 1972 in Wrocław ) is a Polish Discus.

Wiśniewska won at the 1999 Summer Universiade in Palma de Mallorca with a personal best jump of 63.97 meters silver medal behind Romania's Nicoleta Grasu and the front of the Brazilian Elisangela Adriano. In the following years she was able to qualify again for international championships, but without achieving outstanding results. So it was at the European Championships in Munich in 2002 and ninth at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens decades. At the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005 and at the European Championships in Gothenburg in 2006, she took each twelfth grade.

Although Wiśniewska finished sixth at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka. But at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin she failed in each of the qualifying round. All the more surprising was their biggest success up to that point, when she won the bronze medal in Barcelona behind the Croatian Sandra Perković Nicoleta Grasu and at the age of 38 years at the European Championship 2010.
