João Paiva

João Paiva ( born February 8, 1983 in Lisbon, João Pedro de Lemos Paiva actually ) is a Portuguese football player who is under contract with FC Wohlen since 2011.

Career

João Paiva began his career in his home at Sporting Lisbon, where he first went through the youth departments and was recorded in 2001 in the second team. He played from 2001 to 2003 at Sporting Lisbon B in the third Portuguese league and then one year at Marítimo Funchal B. 2004, he went to the second division SC Espinho, in which, however, he could not impose the longer term and signed a year later at the Cypriot club Apollon Limassol.

In the season 2005/ 06 he won the Cypriot Championship with Apollon Limassol. There followed a brief stay at AEK Larnaca, until he was obliged by FC Lucerne in August 2008. In the 2008 /09 season he had 11 goals in 23 games with a weighty share of the relegation of the club, in the Barrage games against FC Lugano, he scored two goals.

For the 2011/12 season he moved free transfer to Grasshoppers Club Zurich.
