João Paulo Andrade

João Paulo Andrade ( born June 6, 1981 in Leiria ) is a Portuguese football player. He's since the summer of 2012 at Omonia Nicosia in Cyprus under contract.

Career

The defender started in the youth department of União Leiria, a football club from his hometown, playing football and came to the 1999/2000 season in the playing in the Super League first team, graduated from here but no league game. After his first season in the Portuguese top league, he was loaned to União Tomar in the summer of 2000 and returned after a year in the summer of 2001 back to União Leiria.

In early 2003 moved Andrade during the season for Premier League rivals Sporting Lisbon, but returned already back in the summer of the same year to Leiria and remained here until the end of the season 2005/06. At the following season 2006/ 07 Andrade was transferred to FC Porto. There he could win the Portuguese championship twice, but came in only two years to ten inserts. In the summer of 2008, he was loaned to Rapid Bucharest in Romania. After his return signed him in the summer of 2009, the French first division side Le Mans UC, with whom he was relegated at the end of the season 2009/10. Andrade returned to Vitória Guimarães back to Portugal. Two years later he moved to Omonia Nicosia in Cyprus.

Andrade was repeatedly called in the Portuguese Under-21 national team.
