Joel Fabiani

Joel Fabiani ( born September 28, 1936 in Watsonville, California) is an American actor.

Life

Fabiani did his military service in the United States Army and moved to San Francisco where he took acting lessons later. In the early 1960s he moved to New York City, where he soon received the first theatrical engagements. In 1962 he celebrated his Broadway debut in a production of The Affair. The following year he had his television debut and played guest roles in several television series. In 1969 he was cast in a starring role in the British crime series Department S. In addition to Peter Wyngarde he put in 28 episodes of the series, the role of the U.S. agent Stewart Sullivan dar. After the show was canceled in favor of a completely tailored to Wyngarde sequel series Fabiani returned to the United States. There he played episode roles in several successful series such as The Streets of San Francisco, The Rockford Files - Just call and Starsky & Hutch.

In 1981, he starred as Alex Ward in Dallas from 1985 to 1986 Dynasty as king Galen. He had movie roles including in the nominated for two Oscars tragicomedy Reuben, Reuben, the comedy film Julia and her lovers as well as in Brian De Palma's thriller game on time. From 1999 to 2010 he starred as Barry Shire in the soap opera All My Children.

Fabiani is married and lives in New York.
