Joel Murray

Joel Murray ( born April 17, 1963 in Wilmette, Illinois) is an American actor and director.

Life

Acting Career

His first major role in the sitcom Grand, where he played on the side of Bonnie Hunt and Sara Rue Norris Weldon. In Germany he was seen for the first time in the hit sitcom Dharma and Greg where he played the lawyer colleagues and best friend of Greg Montgomery Pete Cavanaugh. After the end of Dharma and Greg was followed by appearances in various series and a recurring role as Danny " Fitz " Fitzsimmons in the sitcom Still Standing. From 2007 to 2012, he played the role of Frederick C. thump in the multi-award -winning series Mad Men in 13 episodes

In 2011 he was seen in the cinema for the first time in a Leading Role: Tara Lynne Barr in addition to Bobcat Goldthwaits Comedy Thriller God Bless America. In it, he plays the good-natured Frank, who starts a bloody vendetta against reality and talent shows as well as the right America after divorce, job loss and diagnosis of a fatal disease.

Family

Joel since 1989 with Eliza Coyle ( She played in Dharma and Greg Greg's ex- fiancée Barbara ) married. Together they have 4 children ( Hank, Gus, Louie and Annie ).

He runs a restaurant called Caddyshack along with his brothers.

Joel Murray is the brother of Bill Murray, John Murray, and Brian Doyle - Murray, the actors are also ( he has five other siblings, including a sister named Nancy). He is the brother of Christina Stauffer. Murray grew up with his siblings in an Irish Catholic family.
