Joëlle Ursull

Joëlle Ursull ( born November 9, 1960 in Pointe -à- Pitre ) is a French singer.

Born in the French Overseas Territory Guadeloupe she was a singer and founding member of the band Zouk Machine. But she left the group in 1988 to launch a solo career. She has published in the same year her first album Miyel. In 1990, she was chosen to represent France at Euro Vision Song Contest 1990 in Zagreb. You, tinged with African rhythms ethno - pop song White & Black Blues reached the second place. The single itself was their biggest hit, it was followed by another album, and another in 1993.
