Johann Friedrich Horner

Johann Friedrich Horner ( born March 27, 1831 in Zurich, † 20 December 1886 in Zurich ) was a Swiss ophthalmologist.

Horner studied from 1849 in Zurich Medicine with Karl Ewald Hasse and Ernst Hasse and in 1854 received his doctorate. In Vienna he worked with Edward Hunter of Jaxtthal. Later he became an assistant to Albrecht von Graefe and Louis -Auguste Desmarres in Paris. 1862 Horner was a full professor in Zurich. Since 1873 he was a full professor.

Since 1854 was a member of the Corps Horner Tigurinia Zurich.
