Johann Heinrich Glaser, Johannes Henricus Glaserus (* October 6, 1629 in Basel, † February 5, 1675 ) was a Swiss anatomist, surgeon and botanist.

Life and work

Glaser studied under medicine at the Universities of Basel, Heidelberg and Paris. 1665 the doctor was appointed to the chair of Greek at the University of Basel, after he had found a year earlier in filling the chair of mathematics not taken into account. 1667 Glaser was awarded the Chair in botany and anatomy, which he held until his death. Under Glaser took place at the university a lively public section and autopsy activity.
