Johann Joseph Thalherr

Johann Joseph Thal Mr. or Talherr (* 1730 in Fulnek, Moravia, now the Czech Republic, † October 16, 1807 in Oven, today Budapest, Hungary; , Jan Josef Talherr or József Talherr ) was an Austrian architect.

Johann Thal Mr. studied in Vienna, then he was under the direction of Isidore Canevale in Hofbauamt active. In 1782 he moved to Budapest and worked as a Hungarian architect chamber. In 1788 he became head of the Hungarian Construction Authority. His work was influenced by Andrea Palladio. His buildings are located in Budapest, Bratislava, Györ and other Hungarian cities.
