Johann Martin Abele

Johann Martin Abele ( born March 31, 1753 Darmstadt, † September 3, 1805 in Ulm ) was a German journalist and historian.

Life

Abele studied law and was in 1778 at the University of Göttingen as Dr. jur. doctorate. Subsequently, he held lectures there, but changed already in 1779 as a city counsel to Kempten. This office he held in addition to numerous other until the unification of the city with the Palatinate - Bavaria (1802 ). 1791 Abele was knighted by Emperor Leopold II in 1798 appointed Oettingen - waller Einstein's Councilor. In Kempten he operated bookstore and a printing office, where he also published his own next to the newspaper Recent world events and different typefaces. After the secularization and mediatization in Kempten in 1802 Abele entered the service of the new national rule and rose to the Section Director on at the State Direction and first secular council of Ulm consistory. He died in 1805 in Ulm.
