Johannes Linßen

Johannes " Hannes " Linßen ( born September 28, 1949 in Wachtendonk ) is a former German football player, coach and manager.

Life

He put his school in 1970, at the Gymnasium Thomaeum in Kempen now and then studied business.

Footballer

Hannes Linßen played from 1968 to 1984 for the Bundesliga clubs MSV Duisburg and SC Fortuna Köln as a striker and midfielder. His biggest success was the way into the final of the DFB-Pokal in 1983 with the Cologne Fortuna against local rivals 1.FC Cologne. However, the final game went in Mungerdorferstadion in Cologne with 0:1 lost.

He was christened on January 23, 1971, at play red -Weiß Oberhausen against MSV Duisburg, the first ever imposed in the Bundesliga yellow card - but unjustified because the referee Horst Bonacker was that fouled him with the actual " sinners " Djordje Pavlić and had reacted by complaining to the referee, confused.

Coach

From 14 April 1987 to August 30, 1989 he was again coach of SC Fortuna Köln. He reached through upgrading of the season square of twelve to four. However, because of a bad season startes 1989/90 he had to leave his post.

From 1990 to February 28, 1993 Hannes Linßen worked as an assistant coach for the 1st FC Cologne. After Christoph Daum was surprisingly replaced by Erich Rutemöller, Linßen was set as one of his assistant coaches. This season you landed on a bad seventh place. It was therefore obliged for the following season Jörg Berger as a coach, assistant coach Linßen remained. During the 1998/99 season the team slipped to the 16th place in the table. After differences with the club management over personnel policy, Linßen and FC Gütersloh parted amicably.

Director of Sport

In 1998 he was hired by the first FC Cologne as sports director. There followed several tumultuous years, including an up - and a descent and much criticism, for example, due to the commitment of the then 12 -year-old Marco Quotschalla for eight years. Due to persistent failure Hannes Linßen resigned voluntarily after two weeks previously coach Ewald Lienen had to take his hat.
