Johannes Wolfgang von Bodman

Johann (es) Wolfgang Reich Freiherr von Bodman ( born January 19, 1651 Bodman; † 29 September or October 6, 1691 ) was in Konstanz since 1686, Auxiliary Bishop.

Family

Johann Wolfgang von Bodman came from the old Swabian noble family Bodman. He was the son of Hans Adam von Bodman and Mary Magdalene of SICKINGEN. He had two brothers, Johann Adam and Johann Joseph.

Life

Johann Wolfgang was founded in 1665 canon of Constance. From 1666 to 1673 he studied in Rome as a student at the Collegium Germanicum. He received on August 6, 1673 ordination in the diocese of Constance in 1675 Kapitular in Konstanz. In 1686 he was choirmaster.

On September 2, 1686, he was appointed Titular Bishop of Dardanus and Auxiliary Bishop of Constance. The details of his episcopal ordination are not received, ie in particular the name of giving the bishop or the date of the consecration.
