John A. Choi Jae-seon

John A. Choi Jae- seon (Korean: 최재선 요한; born January 7, 1912 in Ulsan, South Korea, † June 3, 2008 in Pusan ​​) was Roman Catholic Bishop of Pusan ​​in South Korea.

Life

John A. Choi Jae- seon appeared in 1926 in the seminary in the Diocese of Daegu. He was ordained a priest on June 11, 1938 in Pusan. In 1957 he was of Pius XII. appointed Titular Bishop of Fussala and appointed Vicar Apostolic of Pusan. The Episcopal ordination on May 30, 1957 donated him Thomas Quinlan and Paul Marie Kinam Ro and John Baptist Sye Bong- Kil. In 1962 he was appointed first bishop of the Diocese of Pusan ​​in South Korea.

His resignation was founded in 1973 by Paul VI. granted with simultaneous appointment as Titular Bishop of Tanaramusa. In 1975 he founded the South Korean Missionary Society (Korean Missionary Society).
