John Arundel (ice hockey)

John O'Gorman Arundel (* November 4, 1927 in Winnipeg, Manitoba; † 19 September 2002 in Kemptville, Ontario ) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who in the 1949/50 season a total of three games for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the National Hockey League has denied.

Career

John Arundel began his career as a hockey player in the Ontario Hockey Association, in which he was active from 1944 to 1946. The one years he was with the St. Michael's Majors and the Oshawa Generals under contract. It was followed by two years in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, where the defender for the Winnipeg Monarchs got on the ice. After a season with the Sydney Millionaires of Canadians played in the 1949/50 season three times for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League, as well as 34 times for the Pittsburgh Hornets of the American Hockey League. Other assignments he came to the Pacific Coast Hockey League with the Los Angeles Monarchs.

His other positions as hockey players up to end of his career were all teams from moderate leagues. On each one season with the St. Michael's Monarchs and the Saint John Beavers followed by three years at the Ottawa Senators in the Quebec Senior Hockey League ( 1952-1955 ). His career eventually ended Arundel in 1954/55 at the Sudbury Wolves in the Northern Ontario Hockey Association.
