John B. Johnson

John Bertrand Johnson ( * 1887, † 1970) was a born in Sweden American physicist.

He was one of the pioneers of experimental and theoretical investigation of physical noise processes and was the first to experimentally verified the thermal noise. This was later named after him and is in the Anglo-Saxon literature generally Johnson noise, called (or Johnson - Nyquist noise, Nyquist noise after Harry Nyquist ).
