John Beatty (illustrator)

John Beatty ( born May 6, 1961 in Whitesburg, Kentucky) is an American illustrator and comic book artist. Beatty was primarily known for his work on the comic series Captain America and Batman.

Life and work

Beatty operates mainly as a technical pen. In this capacity he has worked among others for the two largest U.S. comic publishers, DC Comics and Marvel Comics. For DC, he oversaw the Batman series, where he subscribed by the expressionist artist Kelley Jones stories about the dark crime fighter with dark Tuscheüerarbeitungen added between 1995 and 1998. For Marvel Comics he oversaw in the 1980s, the series Captain America, where he completed the pencil drawings by Mike Zeck.

Other series in which Beatty worked were " Beyonder ," " Secret Wars" and "Ninja Turtles".
