John Biscoe

John Biscoe ( born June 28, 1794 in Middlesex, † 1843, at sea ) was an English sea captain and explorer.

He undertook on behalf of the English trading house Enderby with his ships Tula and Lively 1830 to 1832 an Antarctic expedition for the discovery of new seal fishing grounds and discovered Enderbyland, Graham Land and the Adelaide and Biscoe Islands in the Southern Ocean.
