John Bosman

Johannes Jacobus "John" Bosman ( born February 1, 1965 in Bovenkerk ) is a former Dutch football player. He was employed as a striker.

Career

Association

Bosman started his professional career with Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam top. There he announced on November 20, 1983 in a 5-2 win against Roda JC Kerkrade his debut in the Erstligamannschaft. In this game, he also got his first goal for the red- white. In five years at Ajax, the attacker completed 165 duty games, where he scored a total of 105 hits and 1985 the Dutch championship in 1986 and 1987 and the KNVB Cup could be won. The greatest success, however, came after the Games 1986/87 season, when the Amsterdam prevailed in the Europe Cup Winners' Cup. In the final match against 1 FC Locomotive Leipzig Bosman, however, was not used. During this time he was in constant competition with Marco van Basten. After van Basten in the summer of 1987, moved to AC Milan, Bosman rose to become the top scorer of his team. Followed in 1988, the striker the call of his former coach Aad de Mos and joined the Belgian team KV Mechelen. There he accomplished with his team winning the championship and winning at international tournament for the Torneig Gamper. After two years he moved Bosman back to his home country to PSV Eindhoven, where he was to replace the migrated Wim Kieft. However, he came in his role as an "opportunity suppliers " for Romário not cope, felt unwell and was soon replaced by Twan Scheepers. Although the PSV champion, Bosman was drawn but still away, back towards Belgium. There he signed with RSC Anderlecht. There he met his old teammates from Mechelen times Graeme Rutjes and Bruno Versavel and on coach de Mos. In five years, six titles were won with Anderlecht. In 1993, Johan Boskamp new coach in Anderlecht. This could take Bosman from 1996 increasingly on the bench space, so that the latter dealt with considering leaving. So eventually he moved in the summer of 1996 to join FC Twente Enschede, returned to the Netherlands. In the first year he was the best attacker of the team. The following year he defended this position, but had to share it with fellow countryman Jan van mufflers and the Finn Antti Sumiala. After three years he moved within the league to rival AZ Alkmaar. After three more seasons, he announced end of his career.

National

Bosman graduated 30 international matches for the Dutch national football team, scoring 17 goals. During an EM qualification match on 28 October 1987 against Cyprus for the attacker reach five goals. Later he was appointed coach of Bond Rinus Michel in the squad for the 1988 European Championship. In the title of the Dutch Bosman came in the first two group matches to two inserts. He was then replaced by Marco van Basten. Six years later, he took part in the USA at the FIFA World Cup 1994.

For the Euro 1992 and the 1990 World Cup Bosman was not considered.
