John Carew

John Carew ( 2008)

John Alieu Carew ( born September 5, 1979 in Lørenskog ) is a Norwegian football player. The son of a Gambian and a Norwegian is without a club since the 2012/13 season.

Career

Carew 1997 Norwegian Cup winner with Vålerenga IF and 1999 with Rosenborg Trondheim Norwegian champion. From Trondheim, he went in 2000 to FC Valencia, with whom he was Spanish champion and was in the final of the Champions League. In 2003 he moved on loan to Italy for Roma and Turkish club Beşiktaş Istanbul 2004. In 2005 he came to the team of Olympique Lyon. During the winter break of 2006/ 07 he moved to Milan in exchange Baroš to Aston Villa. During the winter break of 2010/11 he was loaned until the end of the 2010/11 season at Stoke City. In August 2011, Carew was committed by West Ham United; there his contract expired with the end of season 2011/12. Since then, he is without a club.

Carew graduated 1998-2011 91 A- internationals for Norway completed, in which he scored 24 goals. With the national team, he participated in the European Football Championship 2000.

He was honored in 1999 with the Karoline pinches and in the years 2005, 2007 and 2008 as the best Norwegian footballer with the Kniksenprisen.
