John Charles Dunne

Life

John Charles Dunne received on 1 June 1963, the ordination to the priesthood for the Diocese of Rockville Centre.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 21 October 1988 as Titular Bishop of Abercornia and auxiliary bishop in Rockville Centre. He received his episcopal consecration of Bishop of Rockville Centre, John Raymond McGann, on 13 December of the same year; Co-consecrators were James Joseph Daly, Auxiliary Bishop of Rockville Centre, and Alfred John Markiewicz, Bishop of Kalamazoo.

On June 22, 2013 Pope Francis took his on the grounds of age pre- mounted resignation.
