John Clements Wickham

John Clements Wickham ( born December 21 1798 in Leith, Scotland, † January 6, 1864 ) was a British naval officer.

Wickham was Lieutenant aboard the HMS Beagle during its famous second run from 1831 to 1836, at the Charles Darwin also took part. In 1837 he was captain of the HMS Beagle. In the following four years he explored the north-west coast of Australia.
